Building Maintenance and Construction Division

The Building Maintenance division of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvements to all municipal buildings.  These services are coordinated by the Foreman for Building Maintenance who works with staff and contractors to provide safe facilities for staff and visitors.  In addition, staff oversee the operation and maintenance of all major building systems encompassing:  heating, ventilating and air conditioning including building security, lighting, electrical and plumbing systems, elevator maintenance, interior and exterior architectural features, carpentry and  finishes and access for the disabled.   

In addition, the Town's building maintenance division is responsible for:

• Building Renovations/Maintenance/Construction
• Traffic Signage and Traffic Control Signal Devices 
• Roadway Line Marking
• Boardwalk construction and repair
• Oromocto Marina Docks and Gas Distribution
• Flags
• Building Security/Alarms
