RCMP Detachment Services Assistant

The Town of Oromocto, in conjunction with the RCMP Oromocto Local Detachment, is looking for an individual that is passionate about client services, has the ability to handle multiple deadlines, in a fast-paced work environment, and is motivated to excel as a Detachment Services Assistant. This is a full-time position, with a key role to ensure the daily client operations of the Detachment and to provide support services to police officers, other employees, as well as the provision of information and services to the general public. 
 
The duties of this position have a significant confidential component and the incumbent is required to exercise tact, judgment and discretion.

PART-TIME POSITIONS (CASUAL)  Employment Application

Holiday Relief Firefighter
The Oromocto Fire Department, a 54-member composite (combination) fire department, is seeking applications to establish an eligibility pool of qualified firefighters to fill any upcoming vacancies in our Holiday Relief Firefighter positions until Wednesday, 05 March 2025 at 1:00 pm.

Reporting to the Officer, a Holiday Relief Firefighter responds to all emergency calls immediately as directed and performs various rescue-related duties to protect the public and lessen the severity of injuries related to motor vehicle incidents, water hazards, confined space entrapment, etc. In addition, the Holiday Relief Firefighter takes part in non-emergency duties such as training exercises, maintenance duties to fire apparatus or equipment, and more. Holiday Relief will fill all future full-time positions ranks.

SUMMER STUDENT POSITIONS Student Application

The Town of Oromocto is currently accepting applications for Summer Student Employment.

Many positions require applicants to be a full-time student in the 2024-2025 school year, and entering or currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for Fall 2025.  Please attach confirmation of enrollment with your application.

Start dates vary depending on the position.  The majority of positions will begin in early May and end the Labour Day weekend in September.
