Playgrounds are Now Open

The Town of Oromocto has opened its playgrounds for use. Effective today, the Town play structures (including climbers and swings) listed below will be open to the public. Please check for future announcements as other outdoor facilities become authorized for use in a safe manner.

• Coronation Court Park
• Deer Park
• Duffie Drive Park
• Gilmour Street Park
• Hazen Park
• Black Watch Avenue Park
• Smith Sub-division Park

Signage regarding COVID-19 safety precautions are posted. To keep our community safe, we remind all users to please observe these precautions which include:

 Users must always maintain 2+m social distancing
 Please refrain from visiting outdoor facilities if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have been outside of the Province in the 14 days prior to use.
 Users are asked to bring their own hand sanitizers. It is recommended to wash/ sanitize your hands before and after your visit.
 The play structures, climbers, swings, benches, picnic tables and shelters are not sanitized. Use at your own risk.

PLEASE NOTE: Playgrounds adjacent to schools in the Town of Oromocto fall under the jurisdiction of the school districts and remain closed. Please contact the appropriate school district for more information.
