The Town has been approached by Horizon Health to assist in increasing the awareness related to the Patient Connect NB program to register patients in need of a primary care provider (nurse practitioner or family doctor). To register, patients will need to provide their name, address, phone number and Medicare number. A number of health-related questions will be asked, following this, you will then be linked to a provider. The registry is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Oromocto currently has only 486 people registered, which is only about 5% and we know there are many others without a primary care provider. It is very important to have people register so that when the Department of Health is looking at allocating resources, Oromocto’s statistics demonstrate a true picture of its need.
