Recently Council approved the Oromocto Economic Development Strategy. Through the local governance reform, the function of economic development became one of the mandates of the Capital Region Service Commission (CRSC). The CRSC has partnered with Ignite to drive economic development initiatives within the region.
The plan creates five strategic areas and action items with the aim to guide the Town's efforts towards improving its economic well being and reach its long-term economic goals.
