The Town of Oromocto would like to share its Climate Change Adaptation Plan (CCAP) with you!
CCAP’s identify risks and vulnerabilities to community assets, infrastructure and essential services that are anticipated due to impacts of climate change, both now and in the future, and includes recommendations to address threats in the near, medium, and long term. The plan, made possible by a GNB Environmental Trust Fund Grant, was prepared by CBCL Limited.
Representatives from the Climate Action Committee and various Town Departments will be on hand to discuss the CCAP and how the Town can become more resilient to climate change-related impacts. Other organizations, such as the Department of Natural Resources Wildfire Management Branch will be present to provide information about what you can do individually to assist with these efforts, such as making your property FireSmart. Drop in anytime between 7:00 and 8:30 pm and check it out.
