In an effort to support the provincial initiative to reduce the opportunity for gatherings, the Town of Oromocto has closed its off-leash dog park to the public until further notice to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Residents may still walk, jog and walk their dog through our trails and parks, while maintaining proper social distancing of 2m or 6ft. Dog owners are reminded to please respect the established leashing requirements and to clean up after their pets.
Last week the Town also closed its play and park equipment across the Town which includes:
• Play structures
• Swings
• Slides
• Climbers
• Adult fitness stations
Public sports fields, ball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts are also closed.
