Residents living near the Base Gagetown Range and Training Area should be advised that the Canadian Armed Forces will be conducting low flying aircraft operations during Exercise COMMON GROUND 2018 from November 10 to 25, 2018.
It is important to note that cloud cover is a factor that may increase the intensity of noise. On a clear day, sound waves propagate into the atmosphere and eventually dissipate, but on a cloudy day sound waves can be redirected off the clouds back to the ground and therefore result in a potential increase in noise level.
Exercise COMMON GROUND 2018 contributes to the Canadian Army’s readiness by enabling students at the Combat Training Centre to gain experience in applying recently acquired skills in a dynamic, challenging and realistic environment. Flights are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.
