Good news! Our garbage contractor advises there will be NO changes to the Town of Oromocto waste collection schedule over the Christmas and New Year holidays. They ask everyone to have their garbage at the curb no later than 7:00 am on the day of collection, as extra staff will be working and you can expect your garbage to be collected earlier than normal. Meanwhile, as we now officially enter the winter months, the contractor requests that residents place garbage bags a few feet from the end of their driveways, not atop snow banks to reduce the risk of injury for both residents and garbage haulers.
Are you wondering what to do with your natural tree when the holiday season ends? The Town will again offer its free Christmas tree drop off locations until 8 January 2022:
· King’s Arrow Arena—Next to Parking Area
· Engineering and Public Works-181 Blackwatch Ave.
· Oromocto West—Waasis Road West (BMX & Skate Park)
· End of Saint John Avenue—Formerly known as Carleton Park
