Mayor Powell announced at October's Council meeting that effective 11 November 2023, Councillor Sheridan Mawhinney was elected by his fellow councillors to the position of Deputy Mayor for the remainder of Council's term. He also thanked Deputy Mayor Lorraine Dawe for her work over the past 2.5 years.
