The Town has been informed that a bear was sighted in Oromocto West, just off Carpenter Drive. Black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, but they are opportunistic feeders, and will attempt to eat anything that looks, smells or tastes like food.
Residents are kindly asked to avoid leaving garbage or food outside as much as possible.
